$500 Scholarship Awarded to The Roy Joseph Kerlegan III Fund!

The Roy Joseph Kerlegan III Memorial Scholarship Fund was created for the beloved son of Roy and Shirley Kerlegan, who died when a motorist turned left in front of his motorcycle onMarch 1, 2010.  Roy was a student (senior) at Georgia State University and was an active member of Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity (Professional) and Campus PALS. The Ketia4Kidz Foundation will also honor Roy's memory with his beloved parents by "watching out for motorcycle riders."  The motorist who hit Roy was talking on his cell phone.

Roy was also a military brat, his father, CW3 (Retired) Roy Kerlegan, Jr., served in the Army for 22 years.  My father, First Sergeant (Retired) Cornell Swanier worked for his mother Sergeant Major (Retired) Shirley Kerlegan at Fort Benning, Georgia and was also a respected mentor to my mother First Sergeant (Retired) Rosie Swanier.

The Ketia4Kidz Foundation was recently awarded an ASMBA Star Foundation grant to help initiate the Adrian & Corena Swanier Education Scholarship! This is HUGE news, and will allow us to send 5 military children to college (or continue their studies, for those already enrolled) to advance their career endeavors.

We look forward to growing the scholarship with additional donations, as well as special programs and events to raise awareness for the foundation's goals and objectives! Stay tuned for more news!

The Ketia4Kidz Foundation gratefully acknowledge the support and monetary donations of all its contributors! The list is growing, and we are truly honored to have your support!
